Things I Love

1) God. He’s my Rock. My Refuge. My Everything. I’m passionate about others coming to know the beauty of a relationship with Him. Personally, I believe the best way to learn more about Him is to get planted in a local church.

2) My Family. What a beautiful blessing it is to have people around you who love, support, and encourage you each day. I don’t take them for granted for a moment! (And I wouldn’t be writing if it weren’t for their persistent affirmation!)

3) My Friends. I don’t know where I would be without the connections I’ve made with some indescribably phenomenal folks both here in Northern Virginia and around the world. Your living examples of love, perseverance, dedication, and strength have molded me more than you’ll know and I am eternally grateful.

4) My hometown of Nelson County, Virginia. From the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains to the fresh fruit of many family-owned and operated farms (my favorites are Saunders Brothers Farm Market and Drumheller’s Orchard), this place is my haven. Not to mention,  Nelson has become a hot spot for anyone looking for a beautiful spot to have a glass of wine or cold beer.  I’ve enjoyed both the the Brew Ridge Trail and Nelson 151!

5) The University of Virginia. Friendships. Life lessons. Football games, and Nursing School. Need I say anything more?

6) The U.S. Army. Oh, how you pushed me to many of my physical and psychological limits, but I wouldn’t change one experience during our 5 year relationship.
